Quebec Skilled Worker Program

The Quebec Skilled Worker program makes a selection based on multiple criteria. The assessment of the applications will determine whether you obtain sufficient number of points to be selected by Quebec. The selection factors and criteria are designed to assess your social and professional profile (as well as your spouse’s, if applicable) and help determine your potential for integrating into the Québec labour market and Québec society. The factors and criteria considered are:

•   Age
•   Area of Training – Points are awarded based on your education either foreign or a Quebec Diploma (or equivalent). This keeps changing based on the professions considered in demand in Quebec province time to time.
•   Level of Education
•   Work Experience
•   Knowledge of English & French
•   Information on Spouse or Common Law on all the criteria as above
•   Children under 22, accompanying you to Quebec. Points awarded for Children under 12
•   Financial Self-Sufficiency

If you would like to be evaluated under this program, please contact us through our email [email protected]. Candidates who succeed in gaining enough points in the qualifying criteria above (Single or Married), may apply get a Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ).

Successful candidates upon receiving a CSQ, will then process a 2nd stage application to the Canadian Federal Government. Please see below on more information you will need to know about CSQ.

•   Though Quebec is a province and the CSQ is a Provincial Nomination, you may not be entitled to apply for a work permit if you are outside Canada. You have to wait until your PR is issued to immigrate to Canada. If you are inside Canada and working in Quebec, you will able to extend your work permit with the CSQ.
•    You cannot use the CSQ for your Express Entry PNP Nomination

Québec Graduate

This program is for you if:

•   you obtained an admissible Québec diploma;
•   you currently have a full-time job in Québec at Skill Level 0, A, B or C of the National Occupational Classification (the job must be related to your professional training diploma);
•   you have at least 12 or 18 months’ work experience, depending on the diploma you obtained, at Skill Level 0, A, B or C of the National Occupational Classification (the job must be related to your professional training diploma);
•   you can demonstrate knowledge of spoken French (oral comprehension and oral production) at a skill level equal to or higher than 7 on the Échelle québécoise des niveaux de compétence en français des personnes immigrantes adultes or its equivalent.

Temporary Skilled Worker

This program is for you if:

•   you currently hold job at level 0, A or B under the National Occupational Classification (NOC);
•   you have held this job for at least 24 months during the last 36 months;
•   you can demonstrate knowledge of spoken French (oral comprehension and oral production) at a skill level equal to or higher than 7 on the Échelle québécoise des niveaux de compétence en français des personnes immigrantes adultes or its equivalent.
